Silicone Render

Silicone render is a system ofter chosen over traditional sand and cement because of it’s properties. As obvious as it may sound, silicone render is made from silicone, which is a polymer that is rubber and can stand greater temperatures. There are several types of brands that offer a silicone render system but most offer a choice of colours (which can be seen below), which is great for a bespoke finish for property owners.

There are many different types of silicone systems available to home owners today. The one we use and are trained in applying is the K Rend system.

How long does silicone render last for?

Because of the technology designed with the silicone render, life span is offer for 30 years without cracking. Specifically, the system we use which is provided by K rend and their technology significantly reduces the amount of water absorption on the render surface, whilst allowing water vapour to pass freely through the render, granting your property optimum breathability, unlike traditional sand and cement render.

Does silicone render crack?

Silicone render is extremely versatile and guarantees a high performance. As such, it’s flexible, given it’s rubber compound, which makes it resistant to cracks.
